Linda - I interviewed Shannon Hoon a year before the first Blind Melon CD came out. We got on the topic of serial killers and I mentioned that I had just read a book called "The Deviant" about Ed Gein who used to skin his victims and wear their skin. I met Shannon in person shortly thereafter and gave him my copy of the book. Did I help inspire that song? Unfortunately, Shannon died before I got to ask him. Here's the audio clip from that interview which may or may not have helped inspire him to write "Skinned".

I tried leaving a comment round ZB's way a week or so ago but I don't think it worked... it's not the same without him.

Welcome Kevin!! Great pick.

Marcy, you made me laugh. I think any time lost zipping and buttoning is more than made up for by how much easier it is to put on shoes. I'm in awe of you and Tricia!

Great 'cast, as usual.

Welcome Kevin! Looks like you have the same sort of blog that I do. Loved your song.

Linda, I really liked the Blind Melon--creepy, but so good.

John, as always a fantastic pick. Hadn't heard that one before, but liked it from the get go.

Also really enjoyed The Wannadies, Lloyd Cole, Oingo Boingo (I like just saying their name), Cloud Cult and The Stooges...Aw heck...I loved the whole podcast!!

Congrats Greer! Having gone through the leap to jeans four times I know the feeling. Oh what a feeling!

Jim and James, what fantastic intros. Had me smiling. Yours, FiL, did too. That place between uneasy chuckling and full out laughter.
