i do what i’m told–i turned it up fucking loud when colin’s song came on and didn’t turn it down again. : )
so many great tunes–loved the nada surf, the holly cole, the blind melon–even the incubus! and fil, well, i’m secretly hoping classic fil gets lost on the return trip, coz i really dig a guy in a polo shirt and pleated pants who plays suede and loves george bush . . .
and thanks, everybody, for all the kind comments.

I’m going to listen to all of this as I take a car trip to visit the folks tomorrow! Can’t wait! (only made it as far as Marcy’s pick this morning.) Catch you next week…this podcast chain has me intrigued!

It’s another great show. I’m desperately plesed that nobody played the version of Back to the Old House by The Smiths which is on Louder than Bombs, possibly the worst alternate version in the world.

But I wish I could spell. Or maybe just proofread.

Yep, good stuff. I loved that Chameleons tune and Suede !! Reminds me, i must dig out my old brit pop albums.

Looking forward to next week, should make for interesting listening !!

I’ve just downloaded this for the office iTunes - great mix. I didn’t think anyone else had ever heard of the Holly Cole album of Tom Waits covers!

Loved the mix this week! I have a dumb question if you’ll excuse me, what is a song chain?

The song chain is a simple idea. One person picks a song and the next one has to pick a song to go after that which is related to it .. and so on until we have a whole podcast. To start with I opened it up to previous contributors, but I’ll probably find a way for new contributors to take part in the next one.
