Yay! I figured Camille would be on here. It’s a nice bookend for the 8+ podcast.

Ah Crud! I totally didn’t get it together. And I was gonna submit “Rice Is Nice” by McLusky.

I almost used one of 4 or 5 songs from the Short Music for Short People comp, tim! But i figured that would be represented. I guess I was wrong. It’s a good comp, though it is hard to attempt the whole thing in one sitting.

Soorrrry, I didn’t find my Electro Hippies’ mega armaggeddon death sooner cos’ t’would have been a nice track to follow or precede Napalm sh’bâaaaaaaammm yeah!

I thought of Comma Comma.. and Pick up the Phone as fine noisy blasts - I always like it when things like this come on random and you’re suddenly jolted back up to speed.
Charles - I’m gonna get the ‘My So Called Life’ box set at the weekend - I haven’t watched it since it was first shown but I remember how wonderful it is. I’m also sure that, even beyond the ’spot on show about high school days’ thing there are some interesting thematic crossovers with Buffy, and I’m sure you’d have something to say about that!
also we all learn something new every day and perhaps today I’ve learned how to pronounse ‘husker du’ properly.
luvveryly songs, so short I listened to it twice in a row

But not how to spell ‘pronounce’. Ach well.
Or ‘Luvverly’ in cockney, either, neither.

OMG…there was so much good stuff this week, i agree with marcy…it was a super mix up of good stuff !!!
Mentok - i also don’t no what to say about that track…hee hee
By Ross on 10.12.07 12:56 pm
Elastica??
My favourite Elastica song is ‘Three Girl Rhumba’ by Wire
By John on 10.12.07 4:43 pm
Ross, I was thinking the same thing about Mentok’s choice. It’s a bloody good choice, though. Bloody good.
By nat on 10.12.07 7:11 pm
Yeah, the My So-Called Life and Buffy crossovers are great. If you liked MSCL and haven’t checked out Freaks and Geeks, I cannot recommend it strongly enough. Same type of show, but it’s probably twice as good, and I say that as someone who loves My So-Called Life.
By Charles on 10.13.07 7:55 pm
Gross, Nat. And HIL-arious
By James! on 10.13.07 9:54 pm
Hey, um, Crash…Can I borrow that box set of My So-Called Life? Jeez, I loved that show!
Fun bunch, guys!
By Linda on 10.15.07 12:10 am
Linda, yeah, but you’ll have to come pick it up!
Also I don’t mind being outcooled but he could have left an id link.
By crash on 10.15.07 7:21 am
I was willing to have a bet that Fil would choose Napalm Death (as I wrote in my blog before the CP went ‘on air’) … but Ross made it …. well done, mate! Everything was utterly wonderful, although this Liam Lynch track was my favourite: thanks Greg!
Can’t wait until tomorrow!
See/Hear you then, folks … cheers!
