Now, this looks as it’s gonna be a real treat, I’m sure: can’t wait to hear it on my way to work tomorrow morning! And Crash: I venerate you utterly for including Half Man Half Biscuit in the CP!! Brilliant!

I was going to submit “Time” by Benny Bennassi, but alas…I ran out of time (been freakishly busy). Glad to have the wonderful episode to listen to at work though.
By Cindy Adzuki Chang on 10.16.07 7:30 pm
I haven’t listened yet, but marcy’s FOC pick, BUsiness Time, is terribly funny, so I know I look forward to hearing it! Let me go find my business socks, though.
By nat on 10.16.07 7:49 pm
nat- LOL!! more comments to come from me, as i’ve not yet listened either (need to take the recycling out), but it looks fantastic!
By mjrc on 10.16.07 9:07 pm
I’ve listened to the FOTC song several times now and I have absolutely no idea what you ladies are talking about. Is there something about married life that I haven’t been told about yet??
By tim.young on 10.16.07 9:19 pm
Oh Tim. Just give it some years and let it blossom! Or, better yet, check out your parents. Wait, I don’t want to scare you!
By nat on 10.16.07 10:37 pm
Anna, that song is gorgeous, I think I’m in love. Again.
By crash on 10.17.07 8:03 am
Not sure who with. Don’t really mind.
By crash on 10.17.07 8:04 am
Nat .. Egwgh! I’d rather not associate my parents and ‘business time’!! I’m happy to believe that I arrived on their doorstep carried by a stork.
By tim.young on 10.17.07 9:35 am
No, I didn’t mean to actually check out their bedtime life, but check out the way they behave around each other. You know, how they dress at home, etc. Maybe you have exceptional parents, I don’t know, but after spending a number of years together, there is a comfortable relaxation in some areas. There might be a stained shirt here and there.
And, rest assured, you were carried by the stork. Or you were found under a cabbage leaf in the cabbage patch.

Anna - that Weddings, Parties, Anything song is so sad…pulled at my heart strings big time…so sad.
Marcy - That song scares me
That version of 25 o’clock is brill. And Tim, shhh, but i was dancing round like Morrisey at work to that song..i’ve told everyone to listen to cp to understand my weekly oddness.
I could go on about all the other tracks and how good they are, but i really must do some bloody work. It was brill and you should all be very proud of your selves with yr musical selections, well done blog people !!!
Rock Over London, Rock on Chicago, god bless Wesley Willis !!!
By Ross on 10.17.07 2:43 pm
See Nat .. it scares Ross too. Maybe it’s a British thing? … so … note to self … business socks must be removed at business time.
;)
Ross … I’m glad that I can count you in the list of people I know who probably sang along to every word of that Smiths song …
:)
By tim.young on 10.17.07 3:51 pm
nat, do you think tim is pulling our legs?
this was truly awesome, folks. the intros this week were each as good as the songs, and that’s saying something, coz the music was great.
you know, each week i listen to the podcast i feel like i’m listening to my friends, and that is a really good feeling. and oh my god how geeky does that make me? but it’s true. you all are a very special bunch of folks and i’m honored to be a part of such a group. : )
By mjrc on 10.17.07 8:58 pm
Marcy, TFOTC are dudes from New Zealand, so I think the couples experience is something experienced the world over, especially when living with a mate. I think Tim and Ross are just pulling our legs (or they have yet to experience such wondrous things!)
By nat on 10.17.07 10:36 pm
Tim - I’m in that list
Anna - A confession - I didn’t hear your intro before I heard the song- it’s still gorgeous but i think the actual context makes my comment above a little off, so sorry, but thank you again
Now I’m going to listen to this song of Marcy’s again.
By crash on 10.18.07 8:15 am
Sheesh!
By crash on 10.18.07 8:17 am
I was quite proud of my crap rap.
By Ross on 10.18.07 11:16 am
Anyone else having probs trying to make a good limerick up?
By Ross on 10.18.07 11:17 am
Ross .. your rapping is wonderful.
It seems that the limerick is a real challenge for everyone as the submissions have been a bit thin on the ground (9 in so far … thanks to those of you who have sent stuff). I made up a limerick about FiL but he said it wasn’t representative of his actual (slightly lower) gas explusion level … which is probably true because I’m pretty sure that when I met him he didn’t fart once even though we were drinking ‘real ale’:
There once was a fella called FiL,
Who could fart national anthems at will.
His arse Marseillaise
left an odour for days,
and with ‘God Save The Queen’ he could kill.
:)
Sorry FiL … it’s not really about you. Feel free to make up a limerick about me.
By tim.young on 10.18.07 11:40 am
That’s priceless!
By nat on 10.18.07 1:45 pm
Tim,
now THIS has made my day!
Poor Fil though …. ha ha ….
By Dirk on 10.18.07 3:08 pm
I know .. FiL is unfortunate enough to have a name that easily blends into a limerick. I hope you are all feeling inspired?
By tim.young on 10.18.07 4:19 pm
I myself am limerick-disabled, but the above caused me to spew coffee all over my keyboard!
By Linda on 10.18.07 5:09 pm
Linda, you see, is disabled.
A limerick, indeed, she has tabled.
The coffee she spewed
When reading ode so crude!
But FiL’s fart will remain quite fabled.
By nat on 10.19.07 4:35 am
Nat .. I’m sooooo happy that you share my love of the limerick .. Bravo!!
By tim.young on 10.19.07 9:51 am
ARGH! You make it look so EASY!
By Linda on 10.19.07 6:45 pm
Thankyouverymuch. I do love limericks, but this is the first time I’ve written them since about 1969, in Sister St. I-Can’t-Remember-Her-Name’s class (but I remember she was a Filipino!) And we had to keep those CLEAN. What fun is that?
By nat on 10.20.07 5:37 am
Ooops, Nat … so does this mean that for the CP they HAVE to be dirty?? Well, okay … thinking about it, this might well be the case (*smile*). Alas I already sent mine away to Tim, but next time I’ll do better, promised … but then again the track I chose is fine. So I hope …
By Dirk on 10.20.07 11:36 am
Dearest Tim, just be thankful you have no idea what a Muzakistani diet of cabbage, weevils, and Kenny G does to one’s digestive tract…
There was a vile army named SLIME
That thought pop music was a crime
They stole FiL away
Much to his dismay
And locked him away for all time
By FiL on 10.20.07 3:09 pm
Oh No! … could this possibly mean an episode of the podcast without FiL.
By tim.young on 10.20.07 6:04 pm
Young Tim (take the ‘E’ out of time)
Has been teaching us all how to rhyme
And we knew he was witty
When he showed off his ditty
About FiL and his big bottom crime.
By Crash on 10.22.07 2:20 pm
LOL! Crash, that’s excellent!
Might I just add that I am highly anticipating the limerick episode coming later today! (Outing myself as a true geek. Perhaps not, though. You all probably figured that out.)
