What? I am the lone female taking on gluttony? CHICKEN girls!!

Jim I nearly chose that track. I listened to both the live (on World Of) and the original and weighed them before before changing my mind and going for something with more bite. πŸ˜‰

OOPS, I missed Linda on their, smoking too much monkey brain! That was a fabulous intro!
ANd Godley & Creme? I have not heard THEM in, like, forever. Delicious to hear them, Shaun!

I was really debating about going with “Fatty” too, Sid! The song jumped to mind, but the commentary took a bit longer to come up with. If that hadn’t have fallen into place, it may well have ended up being Suede’s “We Are The Pigs”, which, incidentally, I’m sad no one else picked up.

And Crash, thanks for the mention!

Wow, this weeks CP was great…some really good Rock tracks etc….i loved that Charles Mingus tune..Chris – did you listen to the Chickens and other birds podcast? would av been a goodin for that…great intro’s !!! Dirk – your intro cracked me up, you dirty dog !!!

Also, Godley & Creme – Snack attack was a really weird tune, super 80s..really enjoyed that one, oh and Nat i love stand by me..such a great film…wish i grew up in the 50s / early 60s

SiD – In honor of your selection (which i considered briefly, but i chickened out. well done!), i’m listening to milo goes college. so, thanks!

Nat – what a delight!

I loved so many of these songs! Who would have thought that grunge would be the genre of choice for gluttony. weird. i loved that detroit cobras song and the oompa loompa song too! it was all so good! i want more!

brilliant! this was freaking brilliant!

that turbonegro song was awesome! and i loved the monkey brain. and crash–what can i say? i almost peed my pants. dirk, thankfully i was at home and not at work, coz i think they would have thought i’d really lost it this time. welcome to the ‘cast, brad. glad fil talked you into doing it. meden–i love that song. are you going to post it? thom, that brought back waaaaayy too many mtv memories. πŸ™‚ tim–am i remembering correctly that someone once submitted that morrissey song having something to do with the first song they ever played for their loved one? was it you?

great, great mix, folks. thanks for brightening up my day!

I really enjoyed this week’s cast too. It filled me right up and was very tasty to boot! …. Marcy, you are right. YTOFMF was the first track on the first mixtape I made for my wife. Since then she has forgiven me, so don’t worry.

I’d just like to wish you all an early ‘Happy Holidays’ as I probably won’t be anywhere near a computer whilst I’m away from work in the next few weeks. The Festive Fifty is made and should automatically publish itself on the next three Tuesdays … so make sure you save 4 hours to enjoy it! I’ve really enjoyed compiling and listening to it over the last few days.

See you all in 2008.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and Solstice to all!

Gorged myself on this for the third time today. All excellent stuff. Espeically loved the Grandsons, Brad. Thanx Nat and Ross for comments re Snack Attack. When I first heard this track I thought it was Mel & Kim πŸ˜‰

contrasters, readers and listeners, I wish you all happy holidays. Don’t drink too much, don’t eat too much, but laugh ‘n love a lot. Next comm’ from me, next year. See you there.

Nothing wrong with Mel and Kim. Happy times to all, looking forward to the big countdown. Weeks and weeks without an intro to do, I’m gonna pop.
