Wow! I feel like I’m breathing some rarifies air, getting included with this bunch… What a great way to start out!

Cheers, Tim.

Thanks for the inclusion; tis an ‘onor to be amongst the few.

DC

Sorry about the quality of the contribution this week….now that I’ve got my retaliation at Dirk out of the way, I can get back to finding some half-decent songs again.

I must also confess…..I listened to what Anna had to say but skipped the Eric Clappedout track and went straight to the intro by James. So, I will have no quibbles in anyone chooses to bypass the Auchtermurty twins.

Message to FiL after listening to this week’s developments. As the football fans are fond of singing. ‘Yuri going to get your f***ing head kicked in’.

Wonderful mix of returnees, new people and old voices, and some lovely songs – it’s always good to hear Buzzcocks, The Proclaimers are great, and I liked that DAG song a lot too.

And I’ll name that film from the introduction!! Although -shamesless plug – you might all like to visit the film quotes quiz on my blog just now.

‘Shamesless’ – sheeesh!

Also whilst I’m at it, JC I can see your spelling problem too. It’s ‘fucking’. 🙂

And happy birthday James!!!! xx

Thanks Adam! I’m not going to ruin your quiz by saying what film the intro was from, but I have to say that it’s my favorite part of that movie and it was recreated wonderfully. Tim, you have a future in 1940’s american film noir if you ever get that time machine up and running. And Greer, well, I think we always knew you were a femme fatale at the end of the day.

This was just an amazing podcast. It made me laugh, it made me think, it made me want to run out and get that Nellie McKay album posthaste!

I didn’t try to make my song about getting older, but somehow my subconcious was looking out for me as usual.

Oh, Adam. Your intro was golden. And I think you were quite right to punish such blasphemy.

This podcast should win an award. Seriously.

I had to say f***ing as i was illegally using the PC at work to drop by.

Which I’m doing again just now.

Victoria, what a great song and won’t you miss No Depression? I’m kind of glad they’re hanging around in an online version.

And a sigh of relief that there was a good balance between promises and threats!

Welcome to Matt and DC .. I do hope you will be back soon.

Happy Birthday James!!

JC .. I know you are at work .. but what is stopping you from typing ‘farting’?

Greer’s intro was all her idea. I just did some bad acting and added some music. What a great theme!

🙂

Fuck off (to be said in your best Billy Connolly or Ewan McGregor accent)

Hurra! But is it a threat or a promise?

Please don’t let it be a promise…

i wonder if i know what you mean?

i wonder if you wonder . . .

this had me rolling on the floor. priceless. 🙂

I’m glad Tim managed to see the mistake I made in my introduction this week. Really I need to stop recording these intros at such stupid times at night so I can actually get all my facts correct. In spite of reading the band’s name four or five times I still managed to inadvertently pluralise them. My apologies should they hear this.

Your recording is sounding a lot less choppy these days, Eiron. Is your computer feeling better?

J.C.,

let’s settle for “blessed with it”, alright?! A warm welcome to Matt + DC … nice to have you here, boys!

Some killer tunes this week and very neat intros as well. I particularly liked Tim & Greer … awesome!

I’m about a third through the podcast, and have enjoyed every minute so far!!

Dearest Greer (or should I say Phyllis??), the chills are still racing up and down my spine from that intro. Watch out, TiM!!!

Most “Excel”lent James, I nearly went for Minor Threat myself, seeing as I’m in that adult crash meself…

And Lieber Dirk, I also considered that Buzzcocks track myself. But fantastic as that track is, let me commend you on your fantastically wise intro. Everyone, I urge you to go back, listen again, and take it all to heart!!

Hi Matt, welcome to the CP Nation. You picked a great inaugural song!

I’m looking forward to the rest, I promise you…

Welcome Matt and DC. And Happy Birthday James! I especially liked Nellie M., Queen Esther and Jeremy Warmsley this week.

I hope I never, ever make Tim mad…

And Dirk and Anna, your intros got me thinking. I’m off to reexamine my life.

Computer’s getting there. The network card isn’t working with Vista, but that will soon be changed and I am running, at the present time, a dual-boot system with XP also present, which allows me to get online. I’ll be getting it back to tri-boot status once the network card is changed and the system is ready for some Linux as well. Sound is good, it’s running pretty well and all that smooth jazz.

Now I just gotta catch up with about twelve weeks of Contrast Podcasts. I’d go to the gym, but now my computer’s fixed it seems I have to suffer my own physical disintegration; I pulled a muscle on the step machine earlier this week.

Greer-Totally awesome intro. Loved it.
