139 Old

In episode sixty eight we looked at everything young, so it just seems fitting that we should have eventually ended up looking at the other end of the scale. After all, we are all heading that way.

But Tim, you don’t look a day over 999!

oh my god. i was at the grocery store listening to the show on my ipod when fil and colin’s intro came on. i was dying. i had to stop the cart in an aisle and just stand there, laughing. i must have looked like a nut! but that was too funny. just too freaking funny. and then so sweet, the way they made up.

i loved the they must be giants, small faces, michelle shocked, cock sparrer (loved the segue between that song and my intro, btw), the origin, neil young.

and i think that might be my favorite rolling stones song evah. my daughter thought your intro was pretty funny, james! so did i. and dirk, you kill me.

great to hear you again, taylor, and welcome to diana. the women almost outnumbered the men this week!

what can i say, this was another great episode. i know, each week i say that and then the next week it’s another great one so i end up repeating myself. i really must be getting old!

Nat - That wasn’t me .. that was my reconstituted voice from the future. I’ve arranged to have it saved so the podcast can live for at least 5218 episodes.

Marcy - I’m totally with you on FiL and Colin’s intro. You can hear the boyish giggling behind every line. Joy.

Thanks to all of you again for another fantastic podcast.

Dag, this is a good one. Check out my Old themed minimix… here.

Only just got round to listening to this a week late.

I want to hear Colin and Fil’s outtakes….

ZB…..that was a hilarious intro. I spluttered out my tea (not for the first time listening to the CO, which is why I dont have the keyboard directly in front of me anymore.

Linda - but there are somethings you can now do that you never could before (free public transport for instance!!)
And Caribbean Cruises…

Marcy…I play that game as well. The great thing was that it was the reverse at recent Leonard Cohen and Neil Young gigs, where I was just about the youngest.

Dirk..great contribution. Liek you, its music I use to keep me feeling young(ish).

Greer. Believ it or not, I thought of a Robbie Williams songs with your intro - Hope I’m Old Before I Die - a sentiment that I’m sure we all agree.

Was that the sound of a few new contributors of was it folk who hadnt been involved for a while?? Either way, its great to hear new and fresh voices.
