Thanks to all of you for taking part, listening and sending such nice messages of congratulations regarding the secrets we revealed last week. Next time we will be following up our examinations of the heart and the feet by looking at The Lips. If you would like to lick along but aren’t sure where to start you’ll find some help here.

You mention licking and immediately FiL springs to mind, thanks in no small part to his comment at the end of his introduction last week. Him, and his foot-fetishist alter-ego. I am getting upset just thinking about it… FiL, you’ll really have to raise the bar on that one. After you and Brad have either enjoyed, cringed or drunk yourselves through your college reunion, of course. Have a good one!

Bout of insomnia means I’m listening to this at a really weird time.
As ever, the variety of music amazes and entertains me. It was particularly great to hear The Razorcuts again….
Intro of the week…and possibly even the decade goes to ZB. A touch of surreal genius….
Oh and I’m sure James can now go away and work out hold old we all are!!!
PS : Nat…..the Bush vote all makes sense now….!
PPS : Not unbelievable at all Dirk….

This is awesome… Just freaking awesome. Great idea Brad. FiL, you always crack me up, nice pick, “international bright young thing” hehe.
J.C., that was nice little ditty that you sang… The Smiths, always a good choice.
ZB, you are a nut and I love it!
Nat, this was awesome.
Marcy, I loved that story… Now I will always be able to equate “Our House” with you.
Thanks everyone this was a really interesting and fun Podcast.

Another great ep - the difference in the ages of all us contributors makes for some wonderful diversity!
Especially liked Brenda Holloway and The Razorcuts were pretty cool too. Thanks everybody!

By zb on 02.18.09 9:21 am
i’m going to watch my scree, too, just in case . . .

oh my. it was a pretty benign podcast until we got to agnes, and then nat, well, to tell the truth you could substitute “marcy” for “nat” and it would be just about as accurate! (i happened to be at the gym when i was listening to nat’s intro and song and i was laughing out loud!) and then tricia, well, i think between the four of us we would have had some pretty excellent times!
hey st. jimmy–was i bad enough for you?
this was a great theme–thanks, brad! take good care of our dear fil this weekend.

Haven’t had a listen, yet. But, FiL….Have a total blast at the reunion. Act a little bit like a 21 year old (only the good bits). I’ll look forward to hearing about it on your blog scree….:)

Marcy - Oh yeah. Living in sin! Ow ow!
I really liked the Missy Higgins, Eric B and Rakim (you’re going to personally generate a lot of revenue for the old school hip-hop community, greer), and the Razorcuts song, and I always like 88 lines about 44 women.

Oh man, these selections look fantastic! I’m sad I was too sick to contribute. 1971 was my year, and you know how little good music was happening then. I was listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and every friend they had. Oh, and that was the year “Imagine” was released. What I like now is not all that different in some ways.

Great tunes altogether, folks, and nice stories as well. The Nails are awesome, Brad: thanks for letting me know this one!
By Dirk on 02.19.09 5:47 am
If not for the fact that I’ve not yet ripped most of my CDs as yet, and a lot of them are in storage, I might actually have played something normal this week. Still, I think it’s rapidly becoming taken for granted that this is unlikely in most cases.

Eiron, you’ve probably never typed a truer word…and we love you for it!

I just noticed that 82 upside down looks a lot like ZB … spooky.

Yet another highly entertaining episode. I agree with everyone about the Razorcuts song, it’s great. I liked everyone’s stories too. ZB and Nat especially, you guys had me laughing.
I hope our friend FiL has a wonderful time this weekend

Shucks, I don’t deserve this attention, Dearest Friends. That said, I’ve arrived safely in DC and will be meeting up with Dearest Brad et al tomorrow. Thanks for your most kind wishes - I’m sure we’ll have a blast! And first order of business will have to be playing the CP. It’ll be like y’all are there with us!
Dearest Brad, thanks ever so much!

oh Tim, I have the right to remain silent…and consult an attorney…

Great podcast!

I just got back from vacation with kids, step-grandkids, and Mickey Mouse. I could used some pot right about now…
Thanks, everyone, for the comments, and I’ll get listening shortly and straightly.
;)

Thanks everyone. FiL, I, and others had the perfect college reunion… namely, a reunion without the college. It was a friendly get-together without scheduled university activities or near strangers to make small-talk with…and with your Contrast Podcast selections providing the soundtrack for part of the weekend.
By Brad on 02.23.09 4:56 am
Oh what a week, I’m hoping to listen to this tomorrow! Your comments have me mighty intrigued. And darling FiL I’m so glad to hear you’ve had the time you wanted xoxo
