177 The arse

Milk. Milk. Lemonade. Around the corner chocolate’s made.
I suppose that our tour of the body was always bound to make a dirty stop in the place we all sit upon. So give yours a little pat to say thanks while you enjoy all the rear related tunes we’ve picked.

Just thinking ahead… does next week’s theme include motorbikes, scooters etc. or is it all about the pedal power?
By christophosphorous on 08.18.09 9:10 pm
oh, dear god. that picture has to take the cake, of all the pictures tim has found to illustrate the podcast, that is the best (worst??). bravo!
By mjrc on 08.18.09 9:27 pm
Incidentally, if I were actually choosing my songs, I would have gone with this.
By Eiron Page on 08.19.09 12:15 am
Tim…..sorry to say that Kylie is not singing a hymn associated with football cup finals at Wembley (although I’m sure she would do a great job of it if asked.
Confide In Me is the track I’ve shoved your way this week!
By jc on 08.19.09 9:20 am
Chris - Pedal power only please.
Marcy - It’s getting more and more difficult to find pics for the body parts. I hate to think what kind of search I’m going to have to do to find one for the ’subnavel delights’!
Eiron - Perhaps next time you change your method, the new one should be ’songs I want to play’!
JC - Oops. I fixed it. I think I must have been thinking about The Dude again.

It’s just for this year. And it’s not just here, but all decisions. It’s going to be weird when I come out the other side and have full freedom of choice again…

I always love a CP that contains the phrase “So RUN JAMES RUN! Or you’re gonna get stabbed!”
By James! on 08.19.09 6:02 pm
Aaaah. I came after FiLipapapapa.
By Tricia on 08.20.09 2:33 am
so now we know who to thank/blame for this episode–it was all conrad’s fault!
can’t wait for the sub-navel delights . . .
shaun–that song disturbed me.
linda–i really liked your pick.
once again, tim has done a fantasstic job.
By mjrc on 08.20.09 2:52 am
That picture gives me the shits.
By Agnes on 08.20.09 12:34 pm
I can only apologise for that song. I would claim I played it for a dare although that isn’t really true.
By adam on 08.20.09 2:12 pm
i kinda liked it, adam. it would be perfect for when a person was really angry with someone.
By mjrc on 08.20.09 9:31 pm
Cringe and chuckles is what this episode did for me!
Tim, that song is so gross. Shaun, your song was also gross, but completely fascinating.
Hey Dirk..nice arse.
Chris, I was mesmerized by your pick, too. Flippin’ weird!!
I loved The In Crowd’s intro. Fantastic.
And JC, you are so funny. How many takes did that one need?
By Tricia on 08.20.09 11:00 pm
Marcie, Tim mercifully faded it out half way through, I’ve posted the full version over at my place, especially for you. x
By adam on 08.20.09 11:31 pm
But I can’t spell. Sorry.
By adam on 08.20.09 11:31 pm
Slow down cowboy?
By adam on 08.20.09 11:31 pm
I have another question regarding next week’s locomotive episode; is it strictly bicyclic music only, or do tandems, tricycles and unicycles also count?
By Eiron Page on 08.21.09 3:49 am
for all of you who are concerned about next week’s episode, i don’t think it much matters as long as it’s tangentially related and you can connect it somehow to the theme. let your imaginations run wild!
By mjrc on 08.21.09 12:19 pm
p.s. thank you, adam, i’m heading over right now to listen in full!
By mjrc on 08.21.09 12:19 pm
Yes, Tricia, I wasn’t sure how well Derek & Clive would go down overseas, but if you could cope with Messers Thrubb and Letch I thought it was worth a go. The wikipedia article explains all…
By christophosphorous on 08.21.09 7:38 pm
Tricia, just the one..you could say it came instantaneously
By jc on 08.21.09 7:51 pm
Well .. I can tell you now that the lack of internet connection is going to strike again this week .. it’s going to be Wednesday for publishing Bicycles I’m afraid. Sorry everyone.
By tim.young on 08.25.09 3:52 pm
american health care may suck compared to the french’s, but our internet connections seem to be much better!
By mjrc on 08.25.09 8:04 pm
yep Marcy, french connections went uuuh each time the Electric Hamsters Bicycle Server Team changed… there’s some floating point then and everyone lose the connection
By zb on 08.25.09 8:33 pm
well there’s your problem, you need gerbils, not hamsters to get reliable power!
By mjrc on 08.25.09 10:27 pm
I recommend squirrels!
By nat on 08.26.09 2:18 pm
well, the last time I asked my local council to replace hamsters by squirrels, them say : No ! So, next thursday (as it is the “rentrĂ©e”), I will ask for gerbils but I’m not far to already know the rhyming answer.
