Well, In Crowd, I didn’t know the story of that song, so thankyouverymuch. I think I prefer this original to Nazareth’s cover, too. Still, Nazareth evokes so many trippin’ memories of those partying 70’s!

And if anybody even THINKS of posting that horrid “I’ve Never Been To Me” next week, well, just don’t! ;)

Ha!

But Nats, have you ever been to paradise???

Looks like a corkingly good episode this week. Age of Chance FTW!!!!

Tricia, I got music band Eastside out of that! :-)

FiL, I have been to Paradise, and it’s in Pennsylvania (and so is Intercourse, Blue Ball, Bird-in-Hand, and Virginville.)

ha ha!! nat’s right, and they’re all in amish country, too!

Note to self: Don’t mention “I’ve never been to me” in my intro….

I really enjoyed the Town Bike, HMHB, Ride Your Bike, and Shonen Knife songs

That Ride song was mentioned in the book “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and, for my 20th (I think) birthday, my friend made me a mix of all the songs mentioned in the book. Very chill stuff, mostly. I was psyched to hear it on here :)

I haven’t listened yet, but looks like a good show !! Marcy i was gonna choose Helvetia, great album that !!

Will be back with more comments laterzzz

Tim i love the pic, i wish i could do the windsor ride on that ting, with the blaster of course :)

Sorry for giving duff info in my intro. The Delgados song is actually taken from their 2nd LP ‘Peloton’. The debut was called ‘Domestiques’. I often get them the wrong way round……

Forty lashes with a wet noodle for you, JC!! ;)

Ouch.

jc, the sad way you said colin ordered a cup of coffee, you’d have thought he whipped out a needle and shot up right in front of you! very funny.

ross–i can’t believe you know the helvetia! i guess i could have gone with the bombay bicycle club, tho!

tricia–your best intro evah!! :)

greer–good for you for learning to ride a bike at the ripe old age of 17! very brave.

i forgot i could have told about my broken-collarbone, which i broke whilst riding my bike many years ago, but i think i’ll blame lola for distracting me!

Marcy….he’s been a drinking buddy for a while now. It’s disgusting that he’s picked up so many good habits….

i could definitely feel your dismay! the nerve of him, giving up booze and getting in shape. ;-)

hey Marcy- better late than never I guess :) .

James- as soon as you said ‘it occurred to me that I should look down’ I knew it wasn’t going to end well.

Kevin- I haven’t heard Vapour Trail in years! It was one of those blast from the past moments as soon as it came on.

Tricia- that was awesome.

Good luck Ross!

LOL Greer. You see? I was risking my neck in the name of scientific experimentation even then :)

I can’t get Terry and his clips out of my head. And still cannot get over Greer learning to ride under such Scandanavian pressure. Yikes.

Nat, so funny thinking about the sissy bars and banana seats. That stuff was seriously important back in the day!!

James, you’re just getting funnier and funnier. What a crash. Ouch!!

The Delgados tune was terrific. Hadn’t heard that one before.
