199 Borders

This episode is all about divisions, but not the long kind, or may be about edges, but not the baldy fella out of U2. If you are confused, don’t be, just have a little listen and all will become clear. Perhaps.

I knew there would be cheese!

Wow!

Who knew that an episode topic of ‘Borders’ would be code for ‘Dazzle us with your amazing children’?!?

Bunny - - er, I mean - - Bonnie Raitt will now always be Bonnie Rabbit to me. That’s a good thing.

Big smiles, great music, really great intros, great information, great kids.

- - and cheese! Well, almost, anyway…

- - Oh, and I just now ‘got’ the tricky welcome mat photo…

Great episode. I think the truly great episodes are the ones like “Threats and Promises” where the theme has emotional cache, or episodes like this one where we really have to dig deep (or exploit corporate branding) and the contrast is really contrasty!

“Oh!” again also, speaking of Kymm’s mention of ‘Down On The Corner’ and OCD;

That’s the second time I know of when reference has been made on the CP to that particular Creedence Clearwater song when introducing an unrelated song.

(I’d mentioned it in the ‘Mondegreen’ episode)

Have there been other instances? I’m assuming that the song itself has never been heard on the CP - - ?

Hmm. Are there other notable songs that have been mentioned here but not played?

Hmm…

Kymm, you don’t know how many times I’ve lobbied Tim for an episode dedicated to Spleen as part of the body parts series. No, really, I swear…

Lovely job, CP Nation! But my top prize goes to James, whose choice made me feel all Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

Oh, and Dearest Dirk, can you get me a carton if ciggies??

Sorry Dearest FiL, I’m afraid the moped I speeded thru the German/Belgium forests with whilst smuggling (I really did, believe it or not: it wasn’t very fast, but the custom guys couldn’t follow me there with their van, you know) has long gone to moped-heaven … if such a thing exists …

I know, eh, FiL. That Avett Bros. album is deeply satisfying all afound. I’m still so happy that I And Love And You was high on the Festive Fifty!

Really funny intro and extro, TiM and FiL. Good job to Little Man, too. I wished I could see his face while all the moaning was going on.

JC, Your ‘Borders Of This Land’ song had my name written all over it. I’m definitely going to check out the band.

Eiron, I was listening to your song while running in the dark…I was genuinely spooked and kept looking over my shoulder nervously. Good…in the light.

I, too, am now a Bunny Rabbit convert. I love Isabella!

James, awesome track. I need to check out the rest. I inly know about three of the songs.

Rhiannah, catchy tune there…wished I could sing along!!

Ha Ha Ha Ha. What an opening intro you pair of madmen.
