I’d like to thank all the contributors to this podcast for their excellent choices. You have all done the theme proud!

The contrast podcast is having a break over Easter which means that the next one will hopefully be out around the 25th of April or thereabouts. If you would like to be part of it you will need to email tim.young@rhul.ac.uk with your song and spoken intro based on the theme of ‘quadruped‘. Keep in mind that I’ll be away from computers so I won’t be responding to messages until at least the 20th of April. See you all then.

Lovely choices all round. Always nice to hear something different!

Really like Eric, Coxon and Amy’s choices. Not saying I didn’t like the rest but you know what I’m saying!

Well done Tim and everybody else!

Apologies for the overuse of exclamation marks. I have been reprimanded 🙂

Way to go Tim. You’re awesome.

I sound like a boob.

Cheers everyone! I’m touched .. It’s you guys that make it really.

I’m officially off now .. and I’m already looking forward to my bulging unmanageable mailbox when I get back!

Another amazing job, Tim. So much variety and every track interesting in its own way. That Flatmates song is going to be stuck in my head all day…

i think i like each contrast podcast better than the last one. #3 is fantastic.

What a great idea this is. Really enjoying the choices posted here.

Outstanding. If anyone sent me this as a compilation CD I’d let them do pretty much anything they liked with me. In fact that offer may still be open.

I love these podcasts, and my favorite bloggers are starring in them, awesome work!

Tim, I am still in for the next one if you have a slot for me, started working on it already.

these are all so great, tim. thank you very very much.

i definitely have an idea for a song for the next one…

Cool and the gang, really enjoyed it. Int t’internet great like.

These are all fabulous….and the concept is so inspiring. Because of your site and others, I’ve decided to start a music blog as well. I really enjoyed listening to these and I think #3 is also my favorite (besides, anyone who starts off with lyrics from TMBG is pretty darn cool)

Crazy great stuff…finally, a podcast worth listening to!

Fantastic as always Tim.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I’m back now and I’ve had a few submissions for the next one already. I’ll put the counter back up tomorrow and we can all get going again. Thanks.

[…] Episode Three‘s theme was ‘Perfect Three Minutes’ and my particular song choice for inclusion was the bubblegum Britpop hit ‘Punka’ by Kenickie (aka Lauren Laverne’s former day job). If you don’t know the song, you really should. It was a great, nay inspired, choice if I do say so myself and more than likely a song I’d probably still pick today. Which either tells you something about the quality of the song or how little my music tastes have moved on. I’ll let you decide which. I’ll also let you keep your opinion to yourself. […]
