Be afraid. Be very afraid.

FiL from Pogoagogo has asked the contributors to get dressed up in their best costumes and come around to your house to scare the bejesus out of you with their choice of halloween music.

Personally I will be hiding in the basement with the lights off.

Great choices, but, specially, great intros! Listening to it I’m even sorry I didn’t a better intro… And Marcy, I have simmilar questions myself when I was choosing the song… I defenively didn’t went for a spooky low-tone song as I probably should, choosing instead something that lyricly talkrs about experiencing literaly “whatching ghouls pass by”…

“what’s scarier than Courtney Love?” BWAHAHAH!

Anyway, have a nice Samhain, you all!

mbn–sometimes you have to go with your gut, best NOT to think too hard! but i’ve definitely loosened up with my intros. i think it just takes some getting used to the idea.

now, mr. fil is EXTREMELY at ease with the mic, and it shows! bravo, again, for your killer intro and song.

i’m still listening to the rest, so perhaps i’ll chime back in later.

The intros alone are worth listening to but this is a fantastic podcast. I’m still laughing at the Robert Smith/Elizabeth Taylor comment. I am overjoyed that Voltaire is on here. I adore him and he was absolutely charming when I met him.

Fantastic job!Tsk. Tsk Tsk…Alex. There’s no excuse not to blog!

[…] The new Contrast Podcast! Music to watch ghouls by, and bob for apples by, and eat scads of sticky candy by … […]

“Did you see the horns on that one?” I am splitting a gut here. You all MADE my halloween!

oh, the end was worth the wait!

i love all the intros on this. truly a great podcast. amiright?

Is that Tim on flute in the background of the intro?

Yes, great show !!
Tenhi was really good, very eerie !!
The new version of Atlantis to Interzone is great.

Peace
Ross

Hmmm .. could that be me playing the flute under the intro .. I wonder??

I hope you all listened right to the end?

Indeed…the Devil was fantastic at the end. 🙂

Oh, what a frightfully excellent job all the contributors did this week! Clearly everyone put a lot of effort into their spooooky and/or thoughtful intros.

Kip, that Klaxons track is grand!

Marcos, glad to see your back amongs the living. I loved Salain – all stark, just like a frozen Finnish winterscape.

Dearest Marcy, I didn’t realise those Guillemots could caw and rawk like that!

Ah bethanne, love dem brains. “Send more paramedics…”

“FunFunFun” Tim, I hope you managed to escape those asthmatics…

Alex, great tune for your podcast debut!

Dearest Young Tim, my guess is that you did all the backing music on the intro. And how lovely for you to arrange a cameo by the Prince of Darkness! On a “random-digital-music-player-serendipity” tip, you know what the next song up on my Yepp was right after the podcast? Max Romeo’s “Chase the Devil.” Now THAT’S spoooky – “I’m gonna put on an iron shirt and chase the devil out of earth / I’m gonna send him to outer space, to find another race…”

just about escaped that breathless bunch
was my debut contrast contribution, really enjoyed it.

Good times. I’m a bit of a “ramblin man” but my next intro will be within the limits. Fil and Tim, great production. And it was definitely worth listening through the whole cast of characters.

Great job everyone.
The intros were fantastic indeed, and the songs were great Halloween fun.
