Dang it… I just never got around to submitting for this one. And it looks really good. I just couldn’t figure out which version of “When Tomorrow Hits” to submit… Mudhoney’s or Spacemen 3’s. Oh Well. I had better get started thinking about album openers. Later.

That Prince cover is nutts !!!
Really like that Swag track, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone and Posies are classic, love em. Also Idelwild brought me back !!

And Ella, ooohh so sweet !!
Peace
Ross

The song I’d pick for next week is “Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding” from Elton John’s wonderful “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” but I would feel bad about posting an 11 minute song to a ~60 minute podcast.

I have a sudden, inexplicable urge to clean some windows.

Nat, you crack me up. Cheers.

ZB, votre goรƒยปt dans la musique est extraordinaire, je renverse mon chapeau รƒย  vous monsieur.
“Your taste in music is extraordinary, I tip my hat to you sir.”

Fantastic selections all around, thanks to all the contributors and of course a very special thank you to Tim. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great work all! I’m always so impressed by the variety of music that pops out of everyone’s ears. I did have a song planned for the CP, but the deadline came and went without me. I’ll try to get it together for next week. Cheers!

Merci Rachel.
(and thanks to Mr Ravenscroft (wherever he is) who introduced me to Zazou Bikaye’s music a long time ago)

41 minutes for the next show with only one day of submissions? Damn, it’s getting harder and harder to get on time! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow ZB, great find. I have not heard that verion of When Doves Cry before…Great finds, everyone. I haven’t listened to Jesus and the Mary Chain in ages!

what a great podcast! and i can’t believe the next one’s already full. i have snoozed and losed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Whew, my windows are sparkling! Thanks for the subliminal messages! I’m not an Everclear fan, but I enjoyed that song. Thanks Tom From Other People’s Toys!

Hmmm, I thought I had already commented! Anyhow, fantastic podcast and ZB, I love that cover. I also forgot how much I like Jesus and the Mary Chain.

I’m wondering who knows what song I was quoting from in my intro?

Art Garfunkle’s “I Believe?”

Or by Stevie Wonder…I Believe (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever.) Great song.

A classic podcast, this is. A real tasty pick-n-mix.

ZB, your doves have seized my brain and flown away with it. That cover is sublime.

And Radio Mentok rocks around the clock! Domo arigato, Mister Mentoko!!

Finally, I never realised that George Formby was and indie rock god. It seems sooo obvious now. P.S. Nats, if you still have the urge, our windows need cleaning badly.

Nat got it right .. I never knew Art G. did a version though?

I didn’t realize it was a cover! Well, I need to go find the Stevie Wonder original now.

Yep, Art G. did a cover! It was on “Breakaway”, but it’s very Garfunkelish. Cindy, you must hear the Stevie version!
